During Scarlett's first month, she has expressed a ton of personality. She loves to sleep, except at night, and does not appreciate being woken up from a good nap. When mommy is able to keep full attention on her, Scarlett enjoys tummy time, especially on the boppy pillows, and she can already lift her chin up! Noise and light do not bother her while she naps, and she even sleeps through Copper's loud barking, aside from the occasional grunt back at him. Any time someone other than her mom and dad hold her, Scarlett almost immediately goes to sleep, and is shy about showing off her pretty blue eyes. She hates diaper changes, changing her clothes, and so far has despised bath time. Her favorite cuddle position is laying on anyone's chest, and it is a great way to soothe her during her meltdowns. She will also suck on her fingers or a binky to soothe herself. She loves her stuffed giraffe from Auntie Kelsey because it is soft to touch and plays music, and is often comforted by it when she is laid down. Scarlett surprisingly is ok with wearing hats and socks, which is beneficial with the weather getting colder. She also loves to be swaddled or at least have her legs covered with a blanket. Her favorite fabric in clothes and blankets is fleece, another benefit to the upcoming winter. Scarlett has been brave and made it through her first hurricane and time at the voting polls! We are looking forward to all the exciting experiences during month 2!! :)

Aw!! She's so beautiful! And tiny! I love all the pictures of her. I have like 50 favorites! It's so sweet how protective Copper is of her already. I could stare at these all day - I can't wait to meet her! :)
